Hi all,

What do tinydns and dnscache do when EDNS0 probe messages or queries are sent to it? Will the "No more than one question" rule in these servers cause silent drops and delays, or some real DNS error required by the EDNS0 spec?

Cheers,
Sabahattin

They ignore the EDNS0 payload, and answer as though it's a regular DNS query.

EDNS uses an additional records section entry, not another question.
tinydns and dnscache only care about questions when parsing query
packets.
